Upcoming Auditions/Job Openings
Ghost Stories Auditions
The Summer Place, Naperville's premier community theatre since 1966, will hold auditions for “Ghost Stories In the Park…In the Dark.” Ghost stories have been a Naperville tradition – celebrating with over a decade of memories. This year we will be returning to our original format of including many storytellers and focusing on the story and not acting out our performance. We hope to build a renewed interest in the art of storytelling and this is a perfect opportunity to hone and share your storytelling skills! Performances are held outdoors at the Riverwalk Grand Pavilion in Naperville located off Jackson Avenue past Centennial Beach.
Auditions will be held Saturday, August 13th between 1pm – 3pm in the Alfred E. Rubin Riverwalk Community Center, 305 W. Jackson Avenue (just west of the Nichols Library).
Director Suzanne Reeves is seeking 8 – 10 adult actors and a few teens to present stories to a varied audience October 7h, 8th and 9th and the following weekend October 14th, 15th, and 16th. Story Tellers are not required to be at all performances..
Those interested in auditioning should prepare a Halloween story or monologue they would be interested in doing for performance. Please be prepared to work on them with the director during the audition. Storytelling experience is not required; however professional story tellers will be able to sell merchandise and distribute flyers at the performances.
